Eliminating Fear in Childbirth

Loved this video by Ina Mae.

She gives a every simple explanation about how to eliminate fear of labor.

So important for all mamas:

CHOOSE!!

  • Eliminate Fear
  • Educate Yourself on HOW
  • Learn Coping Techniques
  • Don’t Fight Against it
  • Prepare a Birth Plan

FEAR= TENSION= PAIN

or

CALM/ CONFIDENT= ENDORPHINS= RELAXATION

Be encouraged čÖé It really can work.

Capturing Those Moments

I have started a small collection of photos from clients births (of course with their permission). While I don’t claim to be a photographer, it is one of my joys after a woman delivers her baby to capture real life moments.

I usually stay with mom, baby and dad respectively for about two hours after birth. Sometimes more, sometimes less, depending on the delivery or whether the mother’s needs entail.

Those first cries, first feedings, first snuggles with Mama, first moments with Daddy are irreplaceable. I am truly humbled to witness it all…

This photo came up on Facebook the other day and I was so blessed to see it again.
I started this journey only last year and this photo was from my very first birth.

What a moment to witness. I know I will be a grandma someday. Possibly, even within 6-10 years. *gasp*

Tears of joy I know I will cry too!

Real time Video for Deployed Father

Came across this video on Facebook the other day. Reminded me how precious those first moments of birth are whether it be your first baby or your fifth.

Samsung has a new video technology┬áin which fathers can be present during the mothers labor and baby’s birth. This technology allows the partner to have an “in room” feel. It goes beyond Skype!┬áOnly wish I was able to walk her into the hospital…Watch and Enjoy!
