I have started a small collection of photos from clients births (of course with their permission). While I don’t claim to be a photographer, it is one of my joys after a woman delivers her baby to capture real life moments.
I usually stay with mom, baby and dad respectively for about two hours after birth. Sometimes more, sometimes less, depending on the delivery or whether the mother’s needs entail.
Those first cries, first feedings, first snuggles with Mama, first moments with Daddy are irreplaceable. I am truly humbled to witness it all…
This photo came up on Facebook the other day and I was so blessed to see it again.
I started this journey only last year and this photo was from my very first birth.
What a moment to witness. I know I will be a grandma someday. Possibly, even within 6-10 years. *gasp*
This birth story of Nella is captivating. Kelle had an amazing support team. I am so thankful to be able to walk woman through this life changing moment. Whether you only have our spouse or an entire room full of friends- you are amazing. Birth is no easy task.

Came across this video on Facebook the other day. Reminded me how precious those first moments of birth are whether it be your first baby or your fifth.
Samsung has a new video technology in which fathers can be present during the mothers labor and baby’s birth. This technology allows the partner to have an “in room” feel. It goes beyond Skype! Only wish I was able to walk her into the hospital…Watch and Enjoy!
